Wallace, NC is a small rural community located about 40 miles north of Wilmington, near Angola Bay Game Land. Their local population has steadily increased since the 90s, and is expected to continue growing. Wallace is home to the infamous Carolina Strawberry Festival held annually at historic downtown.
Adding to the town's notoriety, Wallace has produced one Major League Baseball player, New York Giants pitcher Hank Boney, and professional basketball player, M. L. Carr, who played with the Detroit Pistons and Boston Celtics. The town motto says it all, "Pleasant...Progressive...Prosperous".
