Park Ridge is found in the Ogden area, in the North section of Wilmington. It is on Savannah Run Loop with Riviera Drive traversing its center. Entrance is just off of Savannah Run Loop or Putnam Drive. Park Ridge is less than five minutes from the growing Porter's Neck/Ogden area shopping and dining venues.
Park Ridge residents enjoy community mailboxes grouped together at the front entrance and easy access to all Greater Wilmington has to offer. In addition to being virtually on top of the Porter's Neck/Ogden shopping, dining and entertainment venues, Park Ridge is just ten minutes to Historic Downtown Wilmington, a little over five minutes to the campus of the University of North Carolina Wilmington, about ten minutes to the shopping and fine dining experiences of Mayfaire Town Center, Lumina Station, The Forum or Landfall Shopping Center, and about 10 minutes to the sandy shores of Wrightsville Beach.
Park Ridge residents find Ogden Park directly behind the neighborhood and may enjoy the many things this park has to offer. Ogden Park is surrounded by a wooded area, has walking paths, softball, baseball and soccer fields, lighted tennis courts and a large playground area. The park also has one of the region's most popular gated dog parks, a pond, picnic areas with and without shelters and public restrooms.
Constructed in 2010, Park Ridge is a relative newcomer and was built to be energy efficient and environmentally friendly. The community features 1.5 to 2 story single family homes with the nod to craftsman type architecture using siding and stone veneer exteriors. Park Ridge homes boast attached two-car garages, some are a front entry, some are side loading with some featuring windows.
Park Ridge is a fantastic option for home buyers, particularly those with children or pets due to the proximity of Ogden Park; but also for the young professional, the newly married, or the recently retired. It has easy access to all of Wilmington and convenient shopping and dining venues just around the corner.
